The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Entrepreneurship Promotion project is seeking to fill the position of:
Local Intern
Support to the Entrepreneurship Promotion project
on the implementation of activities
The overall purpose of the assignment
The intern will actively assist in the development and implementation of the activities of the project along with the needs of the private sector, business member organizations and chambers. The intern will be responsible for assisting the project members in developing, coordinating and implementing the activities with its political and implementing partners in the topics of Entrepreneurship, Industry, Trade, Innovation, Agriculture, Gender and Digitalization. The internship will also be an opportunity for the intern to gain hands-on experience in the topics covered by the project.
Main tasks and responsibilities
The local intern will:
- Assist in the implementation of project activities with business member associations, chambers, private sector and public institutions,
- Assist in organizing and participating in meetings, workshops, trainings, study visits, and capacity development measures as planned by the project, with a special focus on Entrepreneurship, Industry, Trade, Innovation, Agriculture,
- Assist in the development of reports, presentations, social media content and other relevant material for the project,
- Assist in the coordination and communication with consultants and partner organizations
- Assist team members in various tasks, such as preparing materials for meetings, facilitating and documenting workshops, seminars, and other meetings with stakeholders at all levels, and coordinating logistics,
- Perform other duties and tasks at the request of project leaders and advisors.
Required qualifications, competencies and experience
Qualifications
- Student or recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, economy, business management, or a related field.
Internship experience
- Initial experience (internship or similar) in the above area would be an advantage.
Other knowledge, additional competences
- Very good knowledge of English (the German language is an asset)
- Proficiency in using basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills
Location: GIZ Office - Pristina
Expected start date: September 2023
Duration: The internship will last 6 months. This is a full-time internship (8 hrs per day, 40 hrs per week)
