Using your expertise in Tekla, AutoCAD, and BIM, you will collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to develop robust and cost-effective solutions for complex projects. Your contributions will ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, all while maintaining the highest engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structural Design and Drafting: Utilize Tekla, AutoCAD, and BIM software to design accurate and high-quality structural drawings and models for both steel and concrete structures. You will be instrumental in ensuring that all designs are practical, feasible, and aligned with the client’s vision and regulatory requirements.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout all project phases. You will ensure that your designs are integrated with overall project plans, timelines, and objectives.
- Structural Analysis: Carry out detailed structural calculations and assessments to ensure the safety, durability, and compliance of all designs. Evaluate the performance of materials and identify any potential risks or challenges to be addressed before construction.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain precise project documentation, including drawings, calculations, and reports. Ensure that all work complies with local, national, and international building codes and safety regulations.
- Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with the procurement team, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment. This will help avoid project delays and ensure the best quality for materials used in construction.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest industry trends, engineering technologies, and best practices. You will have the opportunity to bring forward new ideas that improve both design efficiency and construction outcomes.

- Structural Design Expertise: In-depth experience in structural analysis, design, and detailing for both steel and concrete buildings. Knowledge of load calculations, material selection, and performance optimization is critical.
- Problem Solving: A proven track record of solving engineering challenges effectively. You should be able to think critically, address design flaws, and provide innovative solutions.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members, contractors, clients, and suppliers. Ability to present complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to work meticulously, ensuring that every aspect of the design meets regulatory standards, client specifications, and project goals.
- Teamwork & Leadership: Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment and, where necessary, take a leadership role in guiding junior engineers or trainees.
Desirable Skills:
- Advanced BIM Expertise: Familiarity with advanced BIM workflows, including clash detection and integration of BIM models into project management tools.
- Experience in Project Management: Experience managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and within scope.
- Knowledge of Local & International Standards: Familiarity with local building codes and standards, as well as international design and safety regulations.
- Multi-disciplinary Collaboration: Experience working with a broad team of engineers, architects, and consultants on complex projects.
