The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is seeking to fill six Local Internship positions within the following projects, programmes, service units and departments:

1. Intern position: Support of EU-Integration Reform Processes in Kosovo project The overall purpose of the assignment
The intern will support the team in various areas while contributing to project implementation. In addition, the internship will be an opportunity for the intern to gain hands-on experience in the topics covered by the project.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Assist with the implementation of trainings organised for various partner institutions and stakeholders,
- Assist in the organisation of workshops, conferences and other public events,
- Assist the project team with preparatory work for the implementation of the activities, such as drafting terms of references, and drafting preparatory analyses or other documents as necessary,
- Assist the project with data collection, presentations, reporting, social media content and other relevant materials,
- Assist team members in various tasks, such as preparing materials for meetings, facilitating and documenting workshops, seminars, and other meetings with stakeholders at all levels, and coordinating logistics,
- Perform other duties and tasks at the request of the project leader and advisors.
Required qualifications, competencies and experience
Qualification
- Student or a recent graduate not more than 6 months ago in the area that is related to the objectives, such as Public Administration, Law, International Relations, European Integration and Computer Sciences.
Other knowledge, additional competences
- Very good knowledge of English; German is an added value
- Good working knowledge of computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
- Strong ethics, integrity, reliability, and confidentiality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills
- Good presentation skills.
2. Intern position: Innovation and Training Park in Prizren (ITP Prizren) The overall purpose of the assignment
The Intern will support the ITP team in designing and disseminating promotional content across various platforms, assisting in the visual documentation of park activities, and promoting ITP’s sustain-ability efforts. This role is ideal for a creative individual interested in communication, design, and environmental awareness.
The place of work will be in Prizren.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Assist in designing promotional materials related to ITP and its initiatives, including but not limited to brochures, flyers, banners, posters, and roll-ups,
- Create visual content for digital use, such as graphics and layouts for social media posts, newsletters, and web-based platforms,
- Support the documentation of events and park activities through photography and videography; edit visual content for publication,
- Contribute to the development of awareness materials and campaigns that highlight ITP’s environmental and sustainability efforts,
- Assist in drafting material that promote energy efficiency, waste management, and other green practices implemented within the park,
- Support in organizing events and activities taking place at the park,
- Perform other duties and tasks at the request of the project leader and advisors.
Required qualifications, competencies and experience
Qualification
- Student or a recent graduate not more than 6 months ago in the area that is related to the objectives, such as Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Media, Marketing, Environmental studies, or similar.
Other knowledge, additional competences
- Very good knowledge of English; German is an added value
- Good working knowledge of computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) or similar software
- Basic photography and video editing skills
- Interest in sustainability and green development topics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong ethics, integrity, reliability, and confidentiality
- Friendly and helpful attitude; good interpersonal skills.
3. Intern position: Centres for Migration and Development (ZME) and Shaping Development-oriented Migration (MEG) programmes
The overall purpose of the assignment
The Intern will support in implementation of activities of programmes Centres for Migration and Development
(ZME) and Shaping Development-oriented Migration (MEG). He/She will support in various aspects such as communication and information, handover process towards partner institutions, supporting in organization of project activities, workshops and events, gathering information and conducting research for preparation of ToR and other project documents. Additionally, he/she will provide continuous assistance to the DV, Component Leader, Coordinators and Advisors on relevant project matters. The internship will also be an opportunity for the intern to gain hands-on experience in the topics covered by the projects.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Assist in creating content for various communication channels, including social media posts, promotional materials, other articles etc.
- Support the planning, coordinating and executing campaigns and events,
- Assist with logistics, promotion, and post-event reporting,
- Assist in gathering information and research on key focus areas of ZME and MEG programmes,
- Assist in drafting Terms of Reference, papers and project documents related to implementation of activities for both programmes,
- Contribute to the maintenance of the project database and assist in monitoring and reporting activities,
- Provide support in administrative, organizational, and logistical aspects of project activities, including work meetings, trainings, workshops, seminars and public events as fairs and information campaigns,
- Take meeting minutes during work meetings and events, ensuring comprehensive documentation and follow-up actions,
- Support the hand-over process of the project, by assisting with documentation and record keeping,
- Coordinate and consult with the team members on all aspects concerning day to day operation of work,
- Perform other duties and tasks at the request of the project leader and advisors.

4. Intern position: Project Service Units
The overall purpose of the assignment
The intern will assist the Service Units by providing administrative, organizational, and logistical support. The internship will also be an opportunity for the intern to gain hands-on experience in the topics covered by the Unit.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Assist in organizing efficient day-to-day activities for projects served/supported by the service units,
- Assist in ensuring a good flow of communication and information between the service units, projects and the GIZ office,
- Support procurement of materials, equipment, and services in line with GIZ procurement procedures,
- Help maintain the file management system for organized documentation,
- Support in monitoring the monthly accounting and financial plans,
- Support daily invoice checking, processing, and record-keeping,
- Support the monitoring of the project inventory using the On-Site Asset software,
- Support the organization of workshops, events, seminars, study visits and related activities,
- Perform other duties and tasks at the request of the unit leader.
Required qualifications, competencies and experience

- Student or a recent graduate not more than 6 months ago in the area that is related to the objectives such as Business Administration, Economics, Management or Finance.

5. Intern positions (2): Communications department
a. Graphic design and visual content creation intern
The overall purpose of the assignment
The intern will support the communication and public relations efforts of GIZ Office Kosovo, working closely with the Communications Unit, with a particular focus on graphic design and visual content creation. The internship will also be an opportunity for the intern to gain hands-on experience in the topics covered by GIZ Kosovo.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of visual content for various communication channels, including social media, media materials, internal platforms, and print publications,
- Support the creation of branded materials, presentations, infographics, and digital assets in accordance with GIZ corporate design guidelines,
- Contribute to the visual aspects of campaigns and events, including promotional materials and on site visuals,
- Help with photo editing and basic video production tasks for online and offline use,
- Ensure consistency in visual communication across all media and platforms,
- Provide support in internal communication materials and events through visual enhancements,
- Assist in maintaining an organized archive of visual assets and project files,
- Perform other related tasks as requested by the Senior Communications Specialist.
Required qualifications, competencies and experience
Qualifications
- Student or a recent graduate not more than 6 months ago in the area that is related to the objectives, such as graphic design, visual communication, multi-media, or a related field
- Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Canva or similar)
- Basic knowledge of video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro or similar)
- Very good knowledge and written Albanian and English
- Strong attention to detail and a creative mindset
- Familiarity with social media platforms
Other knowledge, additional competences
- Very good knowledge of English; German is an added value
- Good working knowledge of computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

b. Public relations (PR) intern
The overall purpose of the assignment
The intern will support the communication and public relations efforts of GIZ Office Kosovo, working closely with the Communications Unit. The internship will also be an opportunity for the intern to gain hands-on experience in the topics covered by GIZ Kosovo.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Assist in creating content for various communication channels, including social media posts, media materials, internal platforms, other articles etc
- Monitor social media channels for engagement, trends, and feedback
- Support the planning, coordinating and executing campaigns and events
- Assist with logistics, promotion, and post-event reporting
- Ensure that all communication materials adhere to the company’s brand guidelines
- Help with internal communication, including announcements, and updates
- Assist in organizing meetings, maintaining communication records
- Performs other tasks as requested by the Senior Communications Specialist.
Required qualifications, competencies and experience
Qualification
- Student or a recent graduate not more than 6 months ago in the area that is related to the objectives, such as communications, marketing, PR or a related field.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing
- Basic photography and video editing skills.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design programs
- Very good knowledge of ITC technologies and computer applications
- Attention to detail and excellent time management skills
Other knowledge, additional competences
- Very good knowledge of English; German is an added value
- Good working knowledge of computer applications (e.g. MS Office)

Start date: 1st of August 2025
Duration: The internship will last 6 months.
This is a full-time and paid internship (8 hrs per day, 40 hrs per week)
