Finance and Administration Assistant

Caritas Switzerland Country Office for Kosovo is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified candidate for
the position of a Finance and Administration Assistant.

Under the supervision of the Finance Manager, the Assistant will support the Finance Manager in
accounting and finance-related tasks as well as conduct administrative tasks for the country
programme and the project “Sustainable and Inclusive Rural Economic Development (SIRED)”.

Position summary:
The assistant will support the finance manager in accounting and other finance-related tasks at the
programme level and for the SIRED project. Furthermore, the assistant will support the Programme
Manager and the SIRED Project Manager in specific administrative tasks.

Main responsibilities:

  • To conduct all tasks and assume responsibility for cashier services and the petty cash box;
  • To assist in processing of bank payments, booking of financial data into the accounting software;
  • To assist in preparing of financial statements and reports for local authorities (incl. tax exemption forms);
  • To support the finance manager in financial monitoring of partner organizations;
  • To prepare vouchers and payments and any other duties given by the finance manager;
  • To support the SIRED project team re. preparation of meetings and workshops, field visits, tender calls, or other administrative tasks as requested;
  • To support the Programme Manager in administrative tasks, e.g. maintenance of stationary,
    visibility materials, hygiene & kitchen supplies;
  • To ensure services of providers, such as carwash, cleaning, gardening, IT, etc.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finances, accounting or similar field;
  • Minimum of three years of experience in finance administration and accounting;
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Albanian (both written and spoken); knowledge of Serbian is an asset.
  • Very good skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Power Point)
  • Ability to work independently, diligently, and reliably;
  • Interest in international cooperation and human rights;
  • Team- and service-oriented attitude, high level of flexibility;
  • A valid driving license (B1)
