We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in Building Information Modeling (BIM) to join our team on an outsourcing basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality mechanical designs and BIM models for complex precast concrete systems. This role requires proficiency in Allplan software, strong mechanical engineering principles, and the ability to work independently in a collaborative, remote environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical Design & BIM Modeling: Create, develop, and manage mechanical designs using Allplan, ensuring models are accurate, functional, and aligned with project requirements and industry standards.
• Technical Documentation: Produce comprehensive mechanical drawings including plans, sections, assembly drawings, and fabrication details.
• Project Coordination: Work closely with structural engineers, project managers, and external consultants to integrate mechanical systems into the overall project design.
• Compliance & Quality: Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, codes, and client specifications, maintaining a strong focus on quality and performance.
• Model Management: Maintain up-to-date models throughout the project lifecycle, including revisions and documentation of design changes.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve design conflicts within the BIM environment, proactively addressing technical challenges.
• Virtual Collaboration: Participate in remote coordination meetings, providing design insights and solutions in a fast-paced team environment.
• Design Optimization: Apply value engineering principles to optimize mechanical layouts and precast integration without compromising functionality.
• Reporting & Support: Assist in preparing reports, technical submittals, and scheduling support documentation as required for project delivery.

Role Requirements:

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3+ years of experience in mechanical design within a BIM environment.
• Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in Allplan (essential), with experience in other BIM tools considered a plus.
• Engineering Knowledge: Solid understanding of mechanical principles, precast systems, and integration within building designs.
• Drawing Precision: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in generating technical drawings and mechanical documentation.
• Project Mindset: Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, manage timelines, and adapt to changing priorities.
