Position Title: Legal Officer - full time

Location: Mitrovica, Kosovo

The International Business College Mitrovica (IBC-M) invites applications for lecturers. IBC-M is an internationally accredited professional higher education institution offering 3.5-year Bachelor Degrees in the fields of Business, Public Administration, Environmental, Agricultural Management and IT. IBC-M issues its own diplomas as well as double degrees with Lithuanian and Danish partners. IBC-M is also offering Master degree in International Management and Leadership (IML). IBC-M is accredited at the institutional and programme level by EVALAG, a German accreditation agency and member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), since 2012.

Main responsibilities:

• Reporting to Directorate and preparing legal documents related to Labour Law and Law on Higher Education in Kosovo for the college.
• Conduct Labour Law, Higher education Law and Accreditation compliance checks list for all staffs and offices.
• Provide HR Policy training to new staff.
• Review internal rules, HR Policy and Regulations based on Labour Law requirements, accreditation and licening.
• Conduct investigation of staff breach of employment contract.
• Prepare legal documents and legal opinions for the college based on the needs.
• Conduct investigation of staff frauds and file to court.
• Review of disciplinary policy.
• Deal with conflict between staff and relevant local authorities.
• Perform other tasks required by Directorate.

Legal Officer Requirements:

• Master or Bachelor degree in law and management. Master in Labour Law preferred.
• Five Years working experience.
• Strong and Professional written and verbal fluency in English
• At least one years’ experience of Labour Law and legal consultant services in a company or independent consultant.
• Skill at drafting contracts and other legal documents of a legal nature for the college.
• To have sufficient knowledge about the processes of higher education, art, research.
• Experience on accreditation policy of higher education institutions and licensing.
• Good computer literacy (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint on Microsoft Office, etc.).
• High personal integrity, morality, and prudence.
• Good interpersonal skill and ability to work in a team spirit.

• Certificates of completing trainings on any relevant topics.
