Gender and Inclusion Coordinator

Under the supervision of the Outcome Manager (OM), the Gender and Inclusion Coordinator will support the implementation of the Project “Greening Private Enterprises in Kosovo”, in line with Caritas Switzerland rules and regulations and donors’ requirements.

We are in search of results-oriented and innovative candidates for several positions in the fields identified below for our upcoming project. Employment will be at a 100% rate based in Prishtina, Kosovo, and is contingent upon Caritas Switzerland being awarded the project.

Position summary:

The Gender and Inclusion Coordinator will implement activities planned under the project Greening Private Enterprises in Kosovo, in line with the given intervention as described in the approved project document.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive plans for mainstreaming gender equality and social inclusion within the project and beyond. This strategy should aim to integrate these considerations across all project activities and interventions.
  • Ensure inclusive design and implementation of project interventions, promoting access to resources, services, and economic opportunities for women and marginalized groups.
  • Establish and manage a feedback mechanism to address gender and social inclusion issues from project beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
  • Advocate for and raise awareness about gender equality and social inclusion among all partners, including project staff and beneficiaries.
  • Advise the Team Leader and other team members on all components and processes of the project regarding intersectionality, gender and inclusion in the selected sub-sectors of the project;
  • Review and contribute to project-related documents (e.g. progress reports) and communication with a focus on gender & inclusion dimensions;
  • Work closely with the M&E Manager to ensure that gender and social inclusion metrics are effectively incorporated into the project's monitoring and evaluation framework. Regularly assess the impact of the project on women and marginalized groups.
  • Capacity development for project partners in the areas of gender and inclusion, as needed;
  • Build and maintain relationships with gender-focused and social inclusion organizations and networks. Collaborate with these entities to leverage resources and expertise.
  • Accompany colleagues during field visits, collecting information and relevant data, as needed;
  • Prepare reports, presentations and statements for the purpose of advocacy on issues of women’s economic empowerment and/or inclusion of marginalized groups, or PR related issues;
  • Regularly report on gender and social inclusion activities, outcomes and lessons learned to the Team Leader and other team members.
  • Support the Team Leader in the process of preparing the project narrative report.
  • Any additional tasks as instructed by the project manager or the country director.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Economy, Environmental and Finance. Advanced master’s degree or equivalent is an asset;
  • Minimum of four (5) years of professional experience with Gender and Inclusion; [LG1]
  • Experience with environment, and particularly with Green Transition in the private sector is an asset;
  • Experience in implementing, monitoring and evaluating development projects is an advantage;
  • Experience in collaboration with Government Institutions and NGOs in the field of climate change and environmental protection, youth activism, or related fields;
  • Advanced skills in planning, communication, facilitation, and coordination;
  • Excellent knowledge of English (both written and spoken). Excellent knowledge of at least one local language (Albanian, Serbian), knowledge of a second local language is considered an asset;
  • Very good skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc);
  • Working experience with conflict-sensitiveness is considered an asset;
  • A valid driving license; Willingness to travel throughout Kosovo;
