Responsibilities

The Network Engineer provides expert level engineering support, supports internal process documentation, and provides training/mentoring to lower tiered technical team members. The Network Engineer may serve as subject matter experts for single solutions or broader technical categories (such as VoIP, IP routers and switches) or for a group of solutions and technologies (network-wide knowledge) depending on the Customer’s business needs. Drive network technology upgrades from concept through implementation

Minimum requirements

• Proven hands-on network engineering experience
• Degree in Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience, or a combination of equivalent education and experience
• Cisco CCNA/CCNP or Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS certification are preferred
• Proficient in the use of Windows-based computers and related software applications
• Demonstrated competency one or more related network technologies, as well as hands on OEM equipment experience
• Demonstrated competency with related technology debug levels and utilities
• Knowledge of data network elements such as IP routers, Ethernet switches, firewalls, etc.
• Knowledge of IPv4 & IPv6 network technologies
