Media Monitoring Internship Opportunity

Are you passionate about media, political affairs, and media monitoring? Do you have a keen eye for detail, and for analyzing information? The National Democratic Institute (NDI) in Kosovo is seeking four (4) interns to conduct media monitoring for a duration of four (4) months, 4 hours per day, with a flexible working schedule to accommodate any academic commitments.

Location: Pristina, Kosovo

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in monitoring gender representation and inclusion during prime-time TV debates in the pre-election and election periods.
2. Support online campaign monitoring by observing gender-sensitive content and inclusivity during pre-election and election periods.
3. Analyze and summarize key points discussed during prime time programs, and online monitoring through the lens of gender and inclusion, with existing established methodology.
4. Identify emerging trends, themes, and narratives in media content.
5. Assist in compiling reports and summaries for internal use.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in the last year of studies in political science, social science and humanities, journalism, communication, IT, or a related field, or recent graduates.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, both in Albanian and English language.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze information critically.
• Demonstrated interest in politics, media and current affairs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic research skills.
