Background
The ASSOCIATION CONCORDIA Projekte Sociale is a non-governmental organization dedicated to helping children, young people, families as well as (socially and ethnically) marginalized groups in need, towards an independent and responsible life. CONCORDIA’s mission statement is to “go where the need is greatest…and where others don’t go”!
With the overall goal to trigger sustainable positive changes in the lives of the most vulnerable children, young people and families, CONCORDIA focuses on:
- Securing a functioning everyday life that offers protection, belonging and provision;
- Fostering the capacities for self-determination and central „life skills“(self-confidence, self-efficacy and social skills);
- Mobilising each individual’s (creative) potential;
- Fostering a secure bonding of children and youth (as an important pre-condition for the development of life skills).
Scope of the job
As an Institutional and Foundations Fundraiser, you will be responsible for identifying and applying for financial support from institutional donors such as foundations, government agencies, European institutions and other grant-making organizations. You will propose to the Executive Director various strategies to secure funding to support the organization's mission and programs. For these, you will work closely with the international Project and Programmes Team based in Vienna.
Main responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential institutional donors and call for proposals that align with the organization's mission and programs.
- Write grant proposals and other materials to solicit funding from institutional donors, when needed, in collaboration with the international Project and Programme Team.
- Collaborate with program staff to develop project proposals and budgets that align with the priorities and funding needs of CONCORDIA and fits with the priorities of institutional donors.
- Be in regular contact with relevant donors and stakeholders, to assure good communication and to strengthen the collaboration.
- Define projects objectives, outcomes, and targets, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and donor requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation of a number of projects and report to respective institutional donors according to the requirements.
- Track and report on fundraising activities, including grant proposals submitted, grants awarded, and revenue projections.
- Work closely with the International Project and Programme Team based in Vienna when developing cross-country applications and to assure good partner relationship.

The ideal candidate:
Bachelor's degree in a related field such as nonprofit management, fundraising, communications, or business administration.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in institutional fundraising, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
Strong written and verbal communication skills (also in English language), with the ability to write clear, compelling grant proposals and reports. Proficiency in English language, level C1.
Excellent research skills, with the ability to identify and assess potential institutional donors.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Duration of the Contract: 1 year (with possibility of extension)
Location of duty: Prizren; international (at least 3 times/year) and national travels are required
