JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
The Logistics Assistant (LA) provides operational support in terms of logistics issues as required. Report to and coordinate with Senior Logistics Officer on a regular basis on logistical work. The LA is to abide by the policies and personal code of conduct set by the Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) and represent the organization in a loyal and responsible manner.
General responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Logistics Officer, the role of the Logistics Assistant is:
- Implement logistical activities in NPA project, include. Procurement, warehouse and material planning.
- Promote adherence of NPA guidelines and provide input to the development of local systems for internal control.
- Process local requisitions and procurement.
- Control general stock balances, inventories, stock re-supply and distribution.
- Follow up dedicated Teams and inventories.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Process all field requests and related local procurement in a timely manner.
- Keep accurate and up to date logistical records relating to procurement, issuance and destination for materials (Field request, RFQ, PO, GRN, GIN, TDI)
- Coordinate with teams for goods issued and good received.
- Coordinate with team leaders to have good plan for consumable or other running items request needed for operations
- Manage warehouse by updating bin card to track and follow up items in and out.
- Updating excels store report.
- Keep accurate and up to date inventories of any stock held and replenish and distribute in line with the programmer’s requirements.
- Identifying dead stock and disposal on quarterly basis.
- Coordinate with Senior Logistics Officer projects and be in charge of processing procurement in a good manner as assigned.
- Work with suppliers to fill the supplier document dossier.
- Translating when it is required.
- Work flexible hours as required.
- Create a smooth working relationship with other departments to be supported where an efficient exchange of information and feedback to respective line managers is a critical component.
- Report to and coordinate with the Senior Logistics Officer on a regular basis on logistical issues and internal routines.
- Any other task assigned by responsible officer
Perform other duties as assigned by line manager.
Requirements:
- Relevant education, preferably University graduate bachelor level.
- Minimum two (2) years professional experience in Logistics.
- Good communications and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently, and in a dynamic team.
- Good analytic and innovative skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and abilityto work in a multi-cultural setting.
- The ability to work under pressure and adapt to diverse and complex work culture environments is necessary.
- Good English and Albanian language skills, both written and verbally, Serbian language is an advantage.
- Clean Court record is required.
