GAP Institute is a non-governmental organization which aims to bridge the gap between the governance and citizens and between problems and solutions for the advancement of Kosovo society. This is achieved through advocating for good governance, monitoring the work of public institutions and providing concrete recommendations on public policy. With a professional research team, GAP addresses country's economic, political and social challenges. GAP Institute is conducting research to assess the key issues and challenges that women- and minority-owned MSMEs face.

GAP Institute is sub-awardee of the Inclusive Economic Engagement Activity, implemented by Community Development Fund (CDF) with funding from USAID. This is a five-year initiative aimed at supporting women- and minority-owned micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Inclusive Economic Engagement Activity goal is to empower these businesses by increasing economic opportunities and enhancing their resilience, contributing to the growth of the private sector and greater integration into the overall economy of Kosovo.

GAP Institute invites all eligible companies to submit a combined technical and financial proposal, together with the other required documents as per Terms of References (ToR) document, for the following service:

Conducting a survey with women-owned and minority-owned businesses for GAP Institute as part of the Inclusive Economic Engagement Activity

OBJECTIVE

Inclusive Economic Engagement Activity/GAP Institute recognizes the importance of promoting and supporting women-owned and minority-owned businesses in Kosovo. The overarching objectives of this survey are to identify and analyze Kosovo business climate and doing business for women-owned and minority-owned businesses; the existing obstacles obstructing market linkages for women-owned and minority-owned businesses in Kosovo; determine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the operational aspects and growth of women-owned and minority-owned businesses of different backgrounds (primary activity, size) throughout Kosovo.

The awarded Company will be responsible for conducting the survey with women- and minority-owned MSMEs throughout Kosovo. The exact sample size will be specified between the awarded Company and GAP Institute, where the size calculation should be based on the findings of the previously conducted research by GAP Institute “Business Profiles: Women and Minority Entrepreneurship in Kosovo”.
