Workshop Manager – Joinery – RELOCATE TO IRELAND

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager (Joinery) to relocate to Ireland and oversee daily workshop operations in a professional joinery environment. This role is suited to a qualified joiner who has progressed into a Workshop Foreman or Supervisor position. The role reports to the Joinery Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily joinery workshop operations and workflow.
  • Supervise workshop activities to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Implement cut-lists provided by the Production Manager.
  • Oversee quality control, with a clear understanding of finishes.
  • Coordinate effectively with production and management teams.
  • Maintain accurate digital records and documentation.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified joiner with supervisory experience in a joinery workshop.
  • Previous experience as a Workshop Foreman or Supervisor.
  • English language proficiency at C1 level (mandatory).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to relocate to Ireland.
  • Solid understanding of joinery machinery, including CNC, edging machines, spindle moulders, thicknessers, and panel saws.
  • Experience working with hardwoods and veneers.
  • Strong understanding of finishing processes and quality standards.
  • Email and Microsoft Teams.
  • File sharing and PDF annotation (Adobe / Bluebeam).
  • Excel for cut-lists and tracking (filters, pivots, basic formulas).
  • Viewing and marking up drawings (DWG / PDF).

Preferable / Advantageous Requirements

  • Experience with ERP / MRP job management systems (training provided).
  • Exposure to CNC CAD/CAM environments (e.g. WoodWOP, AlphaCAM, Cabinet Vision, Microvellum).

Benefits

  • Salary up to €70,000 (gross) per year, based on experience and may be adjusted if full relocation support is required.
  • Full-time position based on a 44-hour work week.
