Logistics Coordinator
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our fast-paced team at a leading Irish engineering company. Based in our Pristina office, you will work closely with a dedicated team to manage and optimize the logistics operations for a variety of construction and engineering projects.
About the Role:
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the transportation, delivery, and inventory management of materials and equipment required for construction and engineering projects. You will play a vital role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics Management: Coordinate the transportation and delivery of materials and equipment to and from various project sites. Ensure all shipments arrive on time and in good condition.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking of materials, tools, and equipment. Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely procurement and replenishment of supplies.
- Scheduling and Planning: Create and manage schedules for deliveries, transportation, and equipment usage. Ensure that all logistical activities are aligned with project timelines and milestones.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain detailed records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory. Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations and company policies.
- Problem Solving: Address any logistical challenges that arise, including delays, shortages, or damage to goods. Find effective solutions to minimize project disruptions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and suppliers to coordinate logistics and ensure smooth operations throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Experience in Logistics Coordination: A minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. Experience within the construction or engineering sectors is a plus.
- Strong Organizational Skills: Excellent ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and schedules. Attention to detail is critical.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, suppliers, and clients.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to think critically and resolve logistics-related issues efficiently and effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Logistics Software: Experience using logistics management tools and software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other tracking systems). Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must.
- Knowledge of Shipping and Freight: Familiarity with international shipping processes, customs documentation, and delivery management is advantageous.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English is essential. Additional language skills are a plus.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in logistics for large-scale projects or in a technical environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in logistics and transportation.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
