Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Tender Writer to manage and develop high-quality tender submissions that align with our business goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing tender opportunities, crafting compelling proposals, and ensuring timely submissions. The ideal candidate will have a flair for writing and who can combine creativity, strategy, and precision to deliver high-quality tender submissions that stand out. Beyond tenders, the role will also support the business with research, proposals, and marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze tender documents to identify key requirements.
- Prepare and write tailored, persuasive, and compliant tender submissions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for proposals.
- Manage the tender submission process, including deadlines and documentation.
- Manage post-tender analysis to gather insights for future submissions.
- Research market trends and client needs to enhance proposal content.
Role Requirements:
- Previous Experience: 3rd level qualification in English or Business, with a background in business development
- Clear and Concise Writing: Ability to write compelling, well-structured, and clear responses tailored to tender requirements. Attention to detail required.
- Persuasive Communication: Skills to emphasize the value proposition and align the company’s offerings with the client’s needs.
- Creative and Strategic Thinking: Innovation and out-of-the-box thinking is required to differentiate submissions.
- Research Skills Ability to assess tender documents, identify key requirements, and develop a winning strategy. Crafting tailored proposals based on historical data available.
- Time Management: Ability to meet strict submission deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously, including information required from senior staff to ensure on-time submission.
- Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams (e.g., finance, legal, technical departments) to gather information and complete tenders.
- Digital Proficiency: Competence with online submission platforms and secure file-sharing systems. Proficiency with MS suite.
- Addressing Challenges: Navigating ambiguities in tender specifications and resolving any potential barriers to submission. Presenting unique solutions to differentiate the company’s proposal
- Metrics-Driven Mindset: Ensure all feedback is analysed from past bids to improve success rates
- Interpersonal Skills: are extremely important to influence others to obtain critical information to agreed timelines.
