CAD Designer – Bespoke Furniture

As we continue to grow, we are looking to expand our team with a skilled and experienced CAD Designer who thrives in both high-volume kitchen design and one-off bespoke project work.
Role Overview: As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for producing accurate, detailed technical drawings and designs for bespoke furniture projects. You will work closely with both the design and production teams to ensure that all projects are executed to the highest standards, from initial concept through to final production.
We are looking for a highly skilled designer with a strong background in the furniture design industry, particularly within bespoke and kitchen design. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of CAD software and be able to showcase a broad range of design work, from volume output to one-off bespoke projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed and precise CAD drawings for bespoke furniture projects, including kitchens, reception areas, and office spaces.
- Design and model furniture solutions for both high-volume production and one-off bespoke designs.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and production teams to ensure designs meet client specifications and production requirements.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and client needs.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining the quality and accuracy of design work.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and workflows.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CAD Designer, preferably within bespoke furniture design.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software, including Solidworks and Cabinet Vision.
- Proven experience in designing both high-volume kitchen layouts and bespoke, one-off furniture designs.
- A portfolio that demonstrates a wide range of design expertise in kitchen, office, and reception areas.
- Experience with BIM modelling (particularly Autodesk software) is a distinct advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality technical drawings.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with clients to translate their vision into functional designs.
- Familiarity with industry trends and new design technologies.
- Knowledge of production processes and materials in bespoke furniture manufacturing.
