The Integrated Health Services (IHS) project, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), is supporting the implementation of the national health sector reform agenda.
The four-year project, will focus on secondary healthcare and its interlinkage with primary health care in Kosovo, ensuring qualitative, affordable, and integrated care to patients with Non-Communicable Disease conditions with a special focus on vulnerable population groups. The project is implemented by the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute.
The IHS project is seeking applicants for the following position:
Driver and Support Officer
Job summary:
To provide logistical support for project operations and ensure appropriate management of project vehicle(s).
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure the management of vehicle fleet is in compliance with project’s manual requirements;
- Ensure vehicles have correct equipment and sufficient fuel for planned trip and are in clean condition;
- Maintenance of vehicle according to their logs, and ensure timely and properly reporting procedures;
- Collate transport requests and complete weekly movement plans, in accordance with the project’s needs and office transportation manual;
- Ensure planned preventive maintenance of office premises, vehicles and equipment are carried out at high standard with minimum disruption of program activities;
- Ensure that project’s premises are adequately maintained and secured;
- Inform the Procurement & Logistic Officer to any minor defects or mechanical problems and pay attention to any part of vehicle that requires maintenance work;
- Driving duties as required by ensuring appropriate allocation and safe use of vehicles;
- Assist the Procurement & Logistic Officer to ensure that accidents and insurance claims are properly handled;
- Advice Team Leader of any security issues that may affect staff movement;
- Support Administrative officer in overseeing the management of office store spaces;
- Assist with the organization and implementation of project workshops and other events including availability of training equipment, distribution of materials to the beneficiaries, preparation of venues etc.;
- Assist the Procurement & Logistic Officer and the Administrative Officer with supplies management as necessary;
- Coordinate with logistics team and other support officer timely information in accordance to the movement plan.
- Performs all other duties required from the supervisor and contributes to a collaborative work environment.
Key competencies:
- Proven experience as a driver for a minimum of 10 years;
- Valid driving licence B required, and C is preferable;
- Any knowledge of English and Serbian language would be an added value;
- High school degree completed;
- Proven extensive experience of providing logistics and fleet management support for operation programme delivery;
- Demonstrated ability to work in a changing, multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships and teambuilding.
This is a full-time position, open only to national professionals.
