Digital fundraiser (m/f), as a member of the fund development department, she/he leads and drive the organization's digital fundraising efforts, leveraging digital media channels to generate substantial financial resources. This includes expanding the donor base, fostering donor engagement, and driving sustainable growth in online income contributions. By harnessing the power of digital platforms, the position aims to advance the mission of SOS Children's Villages and make a meaningful impact in providing essential support and care to children without parental care.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute online fundraising strategies and campaigns, including campaign ideation, content creation, and scheduling.
  • Manage and coordinate further development of websites and related digital marketing features and connection to CRM.
  • Allocate budget resources for digital fundraising initiatives and campaigns
  • Utilize a diverse range of digital media channels, including social media, email marketing, and online advertising, to drive successful fundraising campaigns and initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics to optimize strategies, utilizing design skills to create visually engaging and compelling content that maximizes online income contributions.
  • Monitor campaign progress, evaluate results, and provide reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
  • Implement strategies to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors through personalized communication and stewardship efforts.
  • Leverage digital platforms to deliver impactful storytelling and foster a sense of connection between donors and the organization's mission.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize fundraising approaches based on data-driven insights and industry best practices.

COMPETENCES – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of marketing principles and practices, including market research, branding, and customer relationship management.
  • Understanding of donor/customer behaviour and the donor/customer lifecycle.
  • Experience in project management, including the ability to plan, organize, and execute projects within budget and on time.
  • Ability to identify and analyse fundraising data to make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in creating visually compelling designs that enhance user engagement and communicate key messages effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas, build rapport with donors/customers and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Communication or related field

MUST CRITERIA:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in online fundraising or online sales
  • Experience in developing and implementing marketing campaigns,
  • Strong expertise in digital marketing channels and ads, including social media, email marketing, and search engine optimization (SEO).
  • Experience in donor/customer relationship management, including building and maintaining relationships with individual donors/customers, soliciting donations, and stewarding donors/customers.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL CRITERIA:

  • Experience in non-profit or fundraising organizations.
  • Experience in direct marketing, including direct mail
  • Experience with donor/customer relationship management (DRM/CRM) software.
  • Skills in online editing
  • Driving license (B)
  • Experience in staying up-to-date on the latest trends in online marketing/individual giving fundraising
  • Knowledge of Web Usability and UX (User Experience)
  • Education / training for Adobe Photoshop & Premiere,
  • Experience and readiness to work in team;
  • Readiness for professional development;
