Sharrcem, a TITAN Cement Group company has an excellent opportunity for a CSR and Communication Officer. The primary scope of this role is to implement short, medium and long-term our ESG strategies in line with TITAN strategy and CSR Policy.
Main Responsibilities
- Plans, implements and/or coordinates all activities related to Stakeholders’ communication ensuring quality and timely execution including:
- Maintenance of communication documents.
- Print communication, newsletters, press releases, fact sheets, integrated report, etc.
- Meetings with stakeholders.
- CSR events organization.
- Updates of data in corporate databases or in company website.
- Prepares annual Corporate Social Responsibility plan and monitors its implementation including monitoring CSR projects.
- Manages the relationships with stakeholders paying special attention to the local community
- Be a focal point of all stakeholders’ communications with the company, prequalify and evaluate requests or complaints, prior of bringing them to the management.
- Create a database with all important stakeholders, interests, company information communicated, stance towards the company, etc.
- Organize and keep up to date files and archives related to CSR projects and initiatives directed either to internal and/or external stakeholders.
- Identify and evaluate local and national organizations, academics and experts, NGOs, and other civil society organizations with relevant interest in respect to ESG issues and find partners for common initiatives.
- Cooperate with other enterprises and stakeholders for the implementation of specifics CSR initiatives, such as the CSR network, the Global Compacts Network or similar business associations.
- Participate in transfer of know-how and best practice from Sharrcem to other Business Units of Titan Group and vice versa.
- Cooperate with Group ESG department for the development of action plans and projects aiming at continuous improvement of ESG performance.
- Coordinate the inter-department communications within the company as well as with external service providers and the group ensuring delivery of results in a duly and timely manner.
- Propose and draft materials for CSR Committee’s consideration in relation to CSR initiatives, projects, partnerships, promotion and communication towards stakeholders, offering creative solutions with a clear vision of short term and long-term goals to be achieved.
- Become focal point of reference in raising awareness on CSR importance as well as cultivating CSR values and principles in line with Titan Group goals, priorities and instructions, as well as engaging external partners and collaborators.
- Assist/Represent Sharrcem in local and foreign events promoting the desired image of the company.
- Coordinate efforts in ensuring duly and timely organization and delivery of workshops/events publications or other activities related to CSR initiatives and action plan and ensuring continued follow up and proper execution of next steps defined in relation to the above, including proper dissemination of information towards related stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject, such as public relations, marketing, journalism, human rights, laws, business administration, management or similar.
- Experience in the field of commutations and PR, considered as advantage.
- Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to distill complex information into simple messages and concise communication materials, tailored for the audience
- Planning, organizing and time management skills.
- Strong work ethic, dedication, and commitment to serve others.
- Able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Good knowledge of Computer Skills
- Very good command on MS Office
- English proficiency
