Project Summary:
The overall goal of this activity is to empower women and minorities through increasing economic opportunities throughout Kosovo. This activity will help revive micro-enterprises and small businesses owned by women and minorities operating in the COVID-19 pandemic environment through the following: enhancing and creating efficiencies in their businesses, enabling partnerships with local organizations and the private sector, and providing funding through grants.
Inclusive Economic Engagement aim is to advance these women and minority owned businesses by:
- Working with women and minority communities to help them be more resilient and less prone to negative external influences through technical assistance to promote efficiencies, grants/funding, and network development.
- Supporting women and minority owned businesses to become an important contributor to the economic development and overall society.
- Supporting minority businesses in Kosovo to become more competitive in serving domestic and regional market needs as a way to foster inter-ethnic collaboration between Kosovo Serbs and Kosovo Albanians.
- Facilitating private sector led solutions and dialogue with supply chain stakeholders to integrate small businesses into the value chain.
This purpose will be achieved through three mutually supportive objectives:
Objective 1: Women-owned and minority owned businesses become more resilient through tailored technical assistance and grants.
Objective 2: Women-owned and minority owned businesses integrate into Kosovo and regional markets through market linkages.
Objective 3: Sustainable business partnerships among women owned businesses and minority owned businesses and associations and other networks established.
Scope of work:
The Project Coordinator's responsibilities include working closely with project staff and partners to identify and prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, grant timeframes, and activities, and working closely with our Chief Of Party.
Main duties and responsibilities:
As Project Coordinator, the employee is responsible for the following principal duties and responsibilities:
- Coordinate all field activities, such as community meetings, info sessions and other types of group events.
- Back-up the team with all necessary tools and check list for field activities.
- Support day-to-day activity team operations, including meeting coordination and agenda development, and note taking.
- Support coordination of internal and external meetings, conferences, workshops, webinars, and other events, including remote participation.
- Support general grants, procurement, including the vendor relations, inventory tracking, and calendar management of grant delivery.
- Conduct content along with Sub-awardees on searches for economic development and then organize and share them with operational team in support of bi-monthly resource reviews.
- Provide back-up to operational team and communications specialist, in terms of event formatting, and layout support as needed.
- Maintain team-tracking documents and tools, including updates to the deliverable’s tracker, publications inventory tracker, project Calendars, and other tools.
- Oversee project USAID compliance strategy, working with the activity DCOP to ensure all external publications are compliant with USAID’s rules and regulations
- Perform other related duties as requested or assigned.
Mandatory Required Qualifications:
The following are the key minimum capabilities required for the proper execution of the above scope of work:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Required Skills:
- Exceptionally organized and attentive to detail; able to create and maintain organizational systems for professional collaboration.
- Excellent communicator, able to synthesize complex information clearly and accurately.
- Comfortable helping others prioritize and stay organized in a busy, fluid environment.
- Ability to work independently and in groups; manage multiple tasks concurrently; and meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully in a multicultural team environment. Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with culturally and linguistically diverse staff, clients, and consultants.
- Ability to work comfortably in the Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Google Workspace (Google Docs, Drive, Slides, etc.).
- Driving license – B category.
Reporting
This position will report directly to Chief of Party.
Duration:
The assignment will be for the period of over 5 years, including the three (3) months’ probation period. This is a full-time appointment for which the Project Coordinator is required to work a minimum of forty hours a week under a work schedule determined by the Chief of Party.
