Call for expressions of interest
for participation in the “Training of Trainers” for Educator’s Digital Competencies
The German-Kosovar project “Fit for Jobs” invites qualified teachers from lower secondary schools to submit expression of interest for “Trainer of Trainers for Educator’s Digital Competencies Training Program”.
GIZ supports its partner, the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation in one of its’ main Education Strategy objectives – digitalization of education in several aspects. Through its measures the GIZ project is working in the field of digitalization with 20 lower-secondary schools in 13 municipalities of Kosovo. To ensure the implementation of digitalization aspect into education to improve the teachers’ digital competencies, the project foresees the development of a training program for teachers of IT and other subjects on educator’s digital competencies at the lower secondary schools based on best practices. The main objective of this training program is to improve the level of teacher’s digital competencies in education and awareness on digitalization with focus on advancing teacher’s digital skills with a spillover effect on improving the career path of students and employability and to improve the overall quality of teaching with a special emphasis on digital competencies in schools in Kosovo. As a part of this support, lower secondary school teachers will be supported in their capacity development through accredited trainings focusing in advancing their digital competencies in teaching.
This training program/module targets teachers (of social sciences, language, natural sciences, ICT, etc.) in the lower secondary schools (grades 6-9) and will consist of thematic modules covering general areas of Digitalization competencies applicable for lower secondary school level. The Training of Trainers is foreseen to take place in March-April 2023.
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
- Qualification details of the applicant (CV with letter of interest, reference letters, similar experiences on the field of providing workshop modules/trainings on digitalization or ICT)
- Education level required (master’s degree in ICT or engineering, social sciences, education).
- Experience – at least 3 years of work experience on providing accredited school trainings in the relevant field and/or minimum 5 years of experience in the field of teaching in lower secondary schools (grade 6 to 9). Experience from the field of digitalization is highly recommended.
