CO-WORKER FOR SOS Children’s Villages OFFICE Psychologist (M/F)
SOS Children’s Villages is a non-governmental organization, social development organization, which is active in the field of Children’s Rights by supporting their needs and concerns since 1999, offering to children without parental care and in risk of losing parental care, a stable home and solid preparation for an independent life.
SOS Children’s Villages Kosovo has started to implement “Youth Empowerment Enabling Prospects” YEEP 2 as regional project funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and SOS Children’s Villages Worldwide, Hermann- Gmeiner Fund Germany (HGFD)). It is implemented by SOS Children’s Villages from five Western Balkan countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina Kosovo, North Macedonia and Serbia) in cooperation with 23 local civil society organizations. The project aims to sustainably improve the socio-economic integration and well-being of vulnerable young people from the five project countries, by empowering 2800 vulnerable youth and improving services for their labor market integration.
For the second phase of implementation of the Youth Empowerment Enabling Prospects (YEEP 2), the SOS Children’s Villages Kosovo is looking for experienced and quality professional to join the project team in the position of Psychologist
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assessment and evaluation of the developmental, psychological, emotional and behavioral status of young people based on standardized psychological measurements, design techniques and other professional decisions;
- Advisory work with young people in the field of social welfare and employment;
- Development of individual development plans and work with children and youth based on those plans;
- Provide individual counselling and psychological support for youth;
- Provide individual and group therapy based on the needs;
- Provide group activities on self-development for youth;
- Support peer to peer activities;
- Support youth club activities;
- Identification of possible sources for professional development of youth; Identification of possible sources around employment;
REQUIREMENTSFOR THE POSITION:
- MA degree in Psychology;
- At least three years working experience as a psychologist;
- Licensed clinical psychologist (desirable);
- Interpersonal communication skills;
- Ability and motivation to work with young people;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Ability to be proactive and to be a self-starter;
- Good knowledge of English language in writing and communication;
- Knowledge of Serbian language is highly desirable.

- Possession of a driving license(Category B);
- Willingness to travel around the country;
- Positive working attitude and ability to work under high pressure.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Time-limited work of 38 months
- 40 hours per week
