The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Supporting the EU Integration Reform Processes project is seeking to fill the position of:
Local Intern
The overall purpose of the assignment
The intern will support the team in various areas while contributing to project implementation. The intern will support the EUI team in their activities that are related to the implementation of the Gov4SAA programme (an innovation lab for civil servants), digitalisation, access to justice and environmental governance. In addition, the internship will be an opportunity for the intern to gain hands-on experience in the topics covered by the project.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Assisting in the implementation of Gov4SAA programme, more specifically on the implementation of the three products to be developed with Gov4SAA I and implementation of the incubation program with Gov4SAAII,
- Assisting in organising and participating in meetings, workshops, trainings, study visits, and capacity development measures as planned by the project, with a special focus on Access to Justice and Environmental governance activities,
- Assisting in the development of reports, presentations, social media content and other relevant material for the project,
- Assisting in the coordination and communication with consultants and partner organisations,
- Assisting team members in various tasks ,such as preparing materials for meetings, facilitating and documenting workshops, seminars, and other meetings with stakeholders at all levels, and coordinating logistics,
- Performing other duties and tasks at the request of project leaders and advisors.
Required qualifications, competencies and experience
Qualifications
- Student or recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in the field of law, international relations, European Integration, economy, computer science, or a related field.
Experience
- Initial experience (internship or similar) with national or international organisations in the related area, would be an advantage.
Other knowledge, additional competences
- Very good knowledge of English
- Proficiency in using basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills
- Good presentation skills.
Location: GIZ Office - Pristina
Expected startdate: September 2023
Duration: The internship will last 6 months.
This is a full-time internship (8 hrs per day, 40 hrs per week)
