The company is in the midst of hyper growth with international offices in US, Albania, Philippines, and India. We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our Technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to join an industry leader in small business financing and will afford you the opportunity to advance within our company. In this role you would help support and maintain our core applications, services and batch processes which are primarily hosted within AWS and Heroku. This position is fully remote, however, will be required to work EST hours.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting and maintaining a solid, stable production environment as well as making impactful contributions to drive both personal growth and effective change for the business. This role will have a direct influence on company growth, working closely with development teams and others to improve the stability and functionality of our available applications and services.
In addition to providing technical support, the candidate will also be responsible for using monitoring tools such as Data dog or AWS Cloud Watch to ensure optimal uptime of our business applications and services. Other responsibilities will include tasks such as code deployments, configuration changes, building automation through scripting and enterprise task scheduling, and writing effective documentation for establishing procedures and/or providing guidance on task execution.
This is a hands-on position; managers need not apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- First responder technical support and/or root cause analysis of issues affecting on-demand business applications and services hosted within AWS/Heroku
- Interacting as needed with both business users as well as development teams to provide support for troubleshooting, change implementation, and/ore stablishing proof of concept
- Automating, monitoring, and enhancing batch processing using the Active Batch enterprise task scheduling platform to ensure business SLAs are consistently met
- Documenting processes and procedures performed to handle tasks such as troubleshooting or making changes to new/existing configurations, infrastructure, applications and/or services
- Deploying code releases and configuration changes for application-layer services hosted within Windows Server OS
- General availability for emergency on-call support for the business production environment including applications, servers, and business-critical batch processing automation

Required Experience:
- 2-4+ years of experience in a similar role handling at least a few of the responsibilities below:
- Enterprise task scheduling platforms (primarily Active Batch but also possibly others such as Control-M, Cisco Tidal, Windows Task Scheduler, etc.)
- Support and/or administration of the following AWS services: ACM, Cloud Watch, EBS, EC2, IAM, KMS, RDS, S3, Secrets Manager, Security Groups, SSM.
- Troubleshooting issues related to Windows operating systems and proprietary applications written in languages such as Python, Java, etc.
- Supporting Windows Server operating systems performing tasks such as user/group management, file/folder permission changes, storage management, user/system environment variable configuration, log/audit analysis, registry changes, firewall rules, etc.
- Using git/ Bit Bucket to configure source control repository access and/or perform code deployments between environments
- Scripting using Power shell or other languages for handling API interactions and/or batch process automation
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with managing and interacting with AWS resources with script language such as Power shell or Python.
- Support/administration of Linux-based operating systems performing tasks such as user/group management, file/folder permission changes, storage management, shell environment configuration, bash shell scripting, software deployment, etc.
- General experience with any of the following platforms/applications:
- Cloud flare, Data dog, Dropbox, Egnyte, Go Daddy, Grafana, Heroku, Salesforce
