Financial Risk Specialist within Risk Monitoring Department

Financial risk specialist is responsible for identification, measurement, assessment and reporting of financial and market risks of the bank. Main focus is towards liquidity and funding risk, interest rate risk, foreign currency risk, counterparty (issuer) risk and capital management. Ensures bank compliance of the respective risks with bank policies, strategy and regulatory requirements.

Main responsibilities:

• Ensures the implementation of financial and market risk management policies in the bank
• Ensures the implementation of regulatory requirements on financial and market risk management
• Monitoring the movements in market regarding market risks (interest rates, foreign currency rates, etc.)
• Assessment of the reports of Interest rate risk and Liquidity risk (LCR, NSFR, Monthly and daily liquidity reports, interest rate risk reports, etc.)
• Analyzing and reporting on standard and stressed scenarios for the respective risks
• Ensuring compliance with capital management limits and reporting triggers set, in addition also perform capital projections
• Preparing and reporting the ICAAP report according to the Central bank requirements
• Interrelation with other departments, mainly: Treasury and Finance
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor and support other functions in the department

Qualifications and Skills:

• University degree preferably in Finance, Business studies, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience within the banking or financial services industry, preferably in Risk Management, Financial Reporting, Controlling, Treasury, or Audit (related to this field).
• Very good knowledge of local regulations
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Very good command of the English language (spoken and written)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
