The DeutscheGesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Fit for Jobs project is seeking to fill the position of:
Local Intern
The overall purpose of the assignment
The Intern will mainly assist in implementing and rolling out activities with pilot schools and support the GIZ team and its partner the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI) in planning and implementing the foreseen activities on the local and central level.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Assist in conducting planned activities with the lower secondary schools and follow up on processes at the school level,
- Take minutes during meetings with MESTI and other partners and write summary reports of the meetings,
- Support with the translation of internal documents/materials (from English to Albanian and vice versa),
- Assist in the coordination and communication with pilot schools,consultants and partnerorganizations,
- Assist in organizing and participating in meetings, workshops, study visits, and capacity development measures as planned by the project,
- Provide logistic supportin organizing meetings and ensure follow-up meetingswith the partner,
- Assist in collecting and preparing visibility materials/information for social media.
Required qualifications, competencies and experience
Qualifications
- Student in the last year of studies or recent graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in education, or related social science.
Experience
- Initial experience (internship or similar) in the related area, would be an advantage.
Other knowledge, additional competences
- Very good knowledge of English
- Good working knowledge of computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
- Basic knowledge of the education sector in Kosova
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong ethics, integrity, reliability and confidentiality
- Motivated team player with sound judgment and problem-solving skills
- Friendly and helpful attitude; good interpersonal skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
Location: GIZ Office - Pristina
Expected startdate: June 2023
Duration: The internship will last 6 months.
This is a full-time internship (8 hrs per day, 40 hrs per week)
