ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Technologist with a focus on Building Information Modeling (BIM) to join our team on an outsourcing basis. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in creating and refining architectural models that meet client requirements, industry standards, and building codes. This role requires proficiency in BIM software, excellent technical drawing skills, and the ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external clients to deliver high-quality architectural solutions. Key Responsibilities:

• BIM Model Creation & Management: Assist in the creation, development, and maintenance of detailed BIM models in alignment with client specifications, building codes, and design standards.
• Client Requirements: Collaborate closely with clients to ensure that architectural models meet their functional, aesthetic, and technical needs.
• Technical Drawings: Prepare accurate and detailed technical drawings and plans based on BIM models, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure all drawings and models comply with relevant local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Coordination with Stakeholders: Work closely with architects, engineers, and consultants to integrate necessary design elements and updates into BIM models.
• Project Documentation: Support the preparation of project documentation, including specifications, technical reports, and schedules, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to client requirements.
• BIM Collaboration: Actively participate in virtual project meetings and collaborate with international teams to refine models and address any challenges or updates required.
• Quality Control: Perform regular reviews of BIM models and technical documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements.
• Problem-Solving: Address technical challenges in the BIM process and offer innovative solutions to meet project goals.

Role Requirements:

• Previous Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or related field, with 3+ years of experience in architectural design or BIM technology.
• BIM Expertise: Strong proficiency in BIM software (e.g., Revit, ArchiCAD) and the ability to create, update, and manage complex models.
• Technical Drawing Skills: Ability to produce detailed architectural drawings from BIM models with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Client-Focused: Ability to understand and meet client specifications while maintaining a high standard of design and technical quality.
• Building Codes & Standards: In-depth knowledge of local building codes and industry standards to ensure compliance.
• Time Management: Excellent ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced remote environment.
• Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with remote teams, clients, and external consultants.
• Digital Proficiency: Proficient with MS Office Suite and online collaboration tools (e.g., BIM360, SharePoint).
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think creatively to resolve design or technical challenges, ensuring high-quality and innovative outcomes.
• Attention to Detail: A strong focus on detail in both BIM modeling and technical documentation.
